Tent Awning Keder, Awning Keder, Luff Tapes & Bolt Ropes
As part of our on-going service to the marquee industry and allied trades, we stock a wide range of tent keder (sometime known as bolt ropes). The keder is made from a core, generally PVC, with a slit PVC coated fabric wrapped around it. The process of fusing the two components is known as High Frequency / Radio Frequency Welding.Through years of development, we are stocking regular tent keders from 7mm through to 12mm diameter with the PVC rod.
J & J. Carter Ltd offer a range of REPAIR style keders for replacing worn keders on tent structures, and frame tents. Some customers, particularly in tropical climate may wish to consider this keder for making up new membranes as well. We have developed a procedure for replacing Keder. The procedure is in downloadable PDF format.
We have also available through a client distributor, the luff tape product used in the sailing industry. The luff tape differs somewhat, in that we use a Polyester or Polypropylene primary core. Aluminium Keder Profiles
An extruded aluminium profile, used for tensioning or clamping canvasses with keder. The profile is mill finished however can be anodised or powder painted on request. We also provide a single barrel version - please call our sales centre for further informations.
