'Wellsprings Centre, Taunton, U.K - Interior Sail Canopy'

A total of 6.53 square metres (65 sq.ft) of tensile fabric sail canopy have been installed at the newly built Wellsprings Centre in Taunton. The sails located approx. 3.5 metres above ground level, have been designed and built by J & J. Carter Limited. Navtec provided the stainless rigging screws and also the Deck cleat style fixing brackets. The fabric is a woven glass fibre with a PVC coating, which conforms to BS 476 for fire retardency. Due to a complex interior fixing arrangement, an accurate 3D survey and model was done to ensure total alignment of the canopy with proposed fixings in the blockwork and first floor structure.
